I'm Clifton Renz C. Esteban, a third-generation Filipino-Chinese family business member and Gallup-certified Strengths Coach. I grew up watching the challenges when different generations work together—the communication gaps, the unspoken expectations, the difficulty of honoring what was built while bringing in new perspectives. Now I help family businesses develop their people through what I know best: strengths-based facilitation and coaching. I don't do succession planning, family governance, or strategic consulting—I focus exclusively on people development. I help your team understand each other's strengths, communicate across generations, and lead more effectively.
My name, Clifton Esteban, is an anagram of "Constant Belief"—and that became the foundation of my approach to generational leadership. But there's more to the story. I'm Filipino-Chinese, from a third-generation family business. In Filipino-Chinese culture, family businesses aren't just about commerce—they're about legacy, about each generation stewarding what came before while building what comes next. I also carry Mexican heritage through the Manila-Acapulco Galleon Trade—250 years of cultural exchange between Asia and the Americas. That cross-cultural DNA shaped me: I've always been a bridge between different worlds, different perspectives, different generations. My Mandarin Chinese name means "the beam that holds families together." When I realized this alongside the anagram, it became clear: this work chose me.But the best way to honor what my name means wasn't to stay in my own family's business—it was to use that gift to help others. I'm the eldest in a third-generation office supplies business. When succession came, I chose a different path—earning my Gallup certification and studying experiential education abroad. I discovered my strengths were in helping OTHER family businesses navigate what mine faced. That's what I do through The Constant Belief approach—helping family businesses hold a constant belief in each generation's value, while giving them the practical frameworks to understand each other, communicate better, and lead together.Learn How We Can Work Together Below
